Have you ever gotten Cold with a CH?

The reason I ask is My Bother in-law was taken to the Hospital last night. He was having a bad Headache last night and it was giving him the Chills and making him Sick. His Head pain was like mine on mostly the right side of his head. But I have never been cold. The pain has been so bad a few times that I felt sick.

Well he went and they did and MRI, and a spinal Tap and everything came up good. He is at home today sleeping or trying to sleep. Just wanting to know if any of you have had this same type of stuff.

Thanks

I get very hot during a CH, but freeze afterward. Sending pain free wishes to your sufferer, nani

Thanks for reply,

We were wanting to know if his could be CH's or not. The reason he asked me is I have been going to Doc. now for 3 years for them. And have been taking pills for them for that long. His have just now got to the point of going to the doc. I think knowing that I go for them helps him go.

Why not make an appointment for him with your CH doctor? Have him keep a headache diary in the meantime. Record times of day, intensity and duration of HAs. Good luck and pf wishes, nani

As far as I know he is going to him today. Smiley  I think he will help him. I know he did not go to work, Got home from the Hospital at 5:00 AM.

If I had his Number here at work I would give him this website so he could read. This site has help me alot. I have print things off of it for my Wife to read. This way she has some understanding of what I go threw.

Glad he is getting to a doc today.

With my CH my head gets hot and the rest of me freezes. Roasting and freezing with the chills at the same time. Sometimes I feel sick.I want the ice on my head, but at the same time I can't stand it.

Terriffic idea to ask him to come here and read! You are a great supporter too!

Be well and PF!

Glad he's got a doc appointment.  It seems that almost every cycle I have is precipitated by a cold.  So, every time I get a cold I just wait for the first knowing shadow to produce itself - sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Best of luck.

I get hot during the attack. I place a fan next to me which helps just a little. It feels like I am in a box or something. I don't recall ever being cold from the attacks.

There are a number of viral infections that trigger severe headaches accompanied by fevers, chills, and naseau.

Encephalitis from West Nile has severe symptoms like these but they typically last 10 - 12 days.
