Eat something when the Beast strikes, even though you feel naseous.  It sometimes helps.  My theory is that blood will rush to the stomach and get busy digesting the food, so will stop the swelling in your head.

It is at least a more positive proposition compared tothose folks that want us to stop eating everything and anything that is filling or gives pleasure.
 
There was somebody here, last year I think, who proposed to survive on water and vitamin pills  to combat clusters. Never heard from him again... lol
