Does anyone have any experience with a drug called Zonegran?  My doctor wants me to try it the next time my cycle begins...

I'd just like to know more about it, if I can.

Thanks.

Yes John, I love it.....

I used to be on Topomax, and although it worked, it has lousy side effects....  My doctor put me on gabitril AND zonegran at the same time...

Just as effective as Topomax, but none of the undesireable effects...

Regards,
Brad

Hi John
I love Zonegran.  I use it to control both my siezures and clusters.  It is used for both.  It's not cheap though, and it will make you tired for the first week, so take it at night time.  It can make you not want to eat, like Topamax, which is a side effect I loved, as I needed to shed a few pounds.  So if you're skinny, you might want to watch that.  It also can change your body temperature threshold or something like that, and you can get hot and not know it.  So you have to be careful when it's hot out, that you're not getting overheated and don't notice it.  Other wise it's been a godsend for me, as I hated the side effects of Topamax, Neurontin and Keppra.
God Luck,
Vi
