Just one thing, from reading woobs post, I know they have weird ass pizzas up there......but, do they sell a little thing called 'single malt scotch'?

Hello everyone. Terry here in Iowa. Yes they stop selling beer and such at 2 am in IL 20 minutes away til 3am. Many liquer stores too. So we just stock up for the nite and later. And whats left over drink that and get more if need to the next nite. Cant wait to meet you all and you will see that there's no corn close to hotel & there is so much to do 3 days you couldnt take in all the sites. There is a mall just down road 1 mile maybe. Many Many pizza joints close and deliver. Just about any thing for food can be brought right to you. Well i rambled enough talk soon and everyone please be PF. c-u Terry

Argh!
I have lodging pretty much taken care of.
Now I just have to find a way to-get-THERE!
Pretty much the same reason I missed the convention in 2000...registration and hotel, everything was taken care of, but couldn't get there.
I do good if I can even get to the fricken grocery store.
I really, really, really, extremely really wanna get there.
I could use a vacation from the insanity of my surroundings.

Even my 20 year old daughter with be there with baby. Born August 31st. Plus my best friend will be there too he helped me alot when hurting and he has had a stroke and two brain anurisons. Just Booked the motel room. Buddy and I and maybe the baby will be there. That is if the roads are in driving conditions we are driving. Its a 13 hour drive. We plan on leaving Friday Morning will be there Friday Night. We have to leave early Sunday Morning to head back.
