RC shock & awe
May 27th, 2008 at 11:16am

Amazing stuff and providing relief for 8 days so far.

Here's the regimen:

Trial: 25 seeds. H/A broke through 2x in the days that followed.

Trial 2: 40 Seeds. 8 Days H/A free.. Felt some constriction yesterday and dosed another 40 last night.  More constriction this AM in the immediate post-dose timeframe but am quite hopeful.

For the record, as  a chronic I have not gone 8 PF days in likely more than 6 years. Certainly these seeds are the beginning of a beautiful friendship, I hope.

Many thanks to Redd for her encouragement and all around hipness Smiley

What are the side effects?

Has anyone tried running after a couple of days of a dose?

Side effects?
Well, "without" seeds, 75-80% of the people dosing with seeds, mushrooms or LSD wouldn't dream of running since workouts often trigger attacks.

So, running may actually be considered a side effect of dosing with seeds.

Bobw
P.S. Hope things are continuing to improve Dave. Chronics can be difficult but any extended periods of pain free time are great indicators of success in the future.

Running helps mine and from what I understand physical activity helps CH not triggers them. Anyway I ask because when on verapamil my endurance goes to $#!+ so I don't take it while I'm training.

I'm one of the folks triggered by exertion.

The seeds sometimes make my muscles sore for a day or two afterward. Otherwise, I can't think of any reason why they'd slow you down at all.

And two more...

How often do you find you have to take them?

How many do you recommend I order?

I'm pretty fortunate. I'm chronic, and find that I only need to dose every 2 or 3 months (unless I'm in a high cycle).

They don't stay fresh forever, so I wouldn't order too many. Maybe enough for 3 or so treatments (should you need that many)at a time.

Let us know how things go, OK?

I store my seeds in a small glass jelly jar with a tight screw on lid and keep them in the fridge.  They stay fresher quite a bit longer.  Don't keep them in the plastic bags they come in.

For most people, there is what is called "post dose activity" that can begin the day after dosing and even up to 3 days after dosing, but then things begin to calm back down.

Keep an eye on activity and stick with your headache journal to track it.  You can redose in 5-7 days provided you haven't taken any of the contraindicated meds.  Just keep with it.

Just as with some other meds, it takes a bit to find the right routine for your particular beast.
