Co-worker killed over Memorial Day weekend
May 27th, 2008 at 8:34pm

I'm a bit stunned right now. I got to work this morning to find out that a co-worker I've worked with for more than five years was killed in a car accident on Sunday. Because I'm in management, I had to break the news to my team.

I guess all I can take away from this right now is this... Please appreciate the people in your life right now because you never know when they will be taken away from you.

I really didn't know her that well, but we worked in the same department and I saw her almost everyday. She had four kids ages 4-17. You just never know when your time is up.... Those poor kids.

Definately appreciate those around you.  This drives home to me the importance of what Steph has as her tagline.

People are the most inportant "things" in life.  People add substance. Things are just things.

Chris my heart goes out to you.

I'm terribly sorry.  Please pass along our condolences to her family and to your co-workers.  Things happen so quickly on the road, and it seems we are never ready.

Great advice Chris.  Unfortunately it takes events like these to make us realize how little holds us to this existence.

I'm sorry for your loss.
