Hi
I'm posting this in the Getting to Know Ya section since I'm very much a newbie at this.  Whatever headache I have (whether it is CH or hemicrania contua or some combo -- doctors can't figure it out) has been going on since January.  I'm currently at a "simmer" stage where the headaches happen every morning between 8 and 1pm, but not more than a kip 4 usually.  The rest of the day is spent with just eye pressure.  Verapamil seems to keep everything at a simmer, but no day goes by without some discomfort.  Anyway, that isn't my question, that's just the background.

My question is this....I'm scheduled to travel to the Andes in Peru next week.  I'll be in Cuzco at 11,000 feet for 2 weeks.  (I live at sea level, normally)  I'm concerned that lack of oxygen may cause some problem -- not the normal short-of-breath problem, but headache problem.  My curiosity comes because if O2 helps a headache go away, will lack of O2 cause one?

Thanks to anyone who might have a guess or some experience.

This my daughter's first child, she lives in Peru.  (very far from New Hampshire) 

Just thought I'd let everyone know that no bad things happened regarding headaches and altitude.  I was nervous, but nothing happened.  In fact, I think I would say that the headache cycle is officially over. 

On a side note, Peru is beautiful and the grandbaby is really really beautiful.
