The south won't rise again

I found this house while looking for another house. Didn't realize it had been abandoned until I got fairly close. This *was* an antebellum home, but, as you can see, it has been vandalized (a doctor had bought it and planned to renovate it, and then someone stole his scaffolding and other work items, so he abandoned the house).

This is a monument in the park behind St. Mary's Basilica. It is a tribute to each of the armed forces. There are 5 sides, Marines, Navy, AIr Force, Coast Guard and the Army.

What a beautiful structure! It is just waiting for loving care. Such shame to see a building like that just sitting and rotting away. Chuck
