Hello All
Dec 4th, 2008 at 5:27pm

I am a new member to this board.  Although I had cluster headaches every 2~3 years for 3 months for over 10 years.

My first headache, i don't remember quite well, but I remember I went to the emergency room in Vegas while working.  And spent over thousand of dollars, because medical insurance would not cover in many situations.  Anyways,  I have done almost everything possible to get some help, even CAT scan.  As many here, the doctors convince that you have migrains, or assume you have migraines, without observing the factor of the pain type.  I was one of them, until i went to a specialist who observed and assumed it was actually "cluster headache".

He gave me some pills to take daily and some other to take when the attach happens.  Within time we have tried many things, and what do we know... It was gone.

Three years after, it happened again, and I went back to the pills.  This time it was not being effective, so we changed prescription again, and again and again, with no success.  So I turn to my brother in law, who is a doctor in Brazil.  I explain the situation and he calls me back with a solution after he talks to his neurologist friends.  He sends me a box with some medication and instruction.  I follow it and it goes away in an instant.  I call him and tell him that the doctor in the US does not know the brand of the medicine or ever heard of it.  He said that this medicine is not aproved to import into the US, or something not approved by the pharmaceutical ???? because it is a German product.  So I ask him to send me as much as he can or bring it to me through someone who would come visit here in California.

I have had taken this medicine everytime my attack happens and it works like a miracle.  But still, have to coupe with some of the attacks.  But still, it is a big break compared to the medicine i have taken here.

I know the medicine that was sent from Brazil contains "NOVALGINA"...  That is all the info I could remember off my head.  Do a search of Novalgina's background... you'll see what i am talking about.  Anywayz, I remember finding this board couple years ago, but I was not an active member.  I hope this could help some of you who could have access to this medication.   I'll find the exact name of the medication I take...  and hope to help relieve or coup with some of the attachs and aproaches I sometimes take to relieve the pain.

Peace

Ronnie

Oxygen would be a mighty fine alternative to a drug banned in the U.S.

e-check payments (U.S. banks only)

   Select Dosage/Quantity 300 mg. x 20 units - $6.58

Why is the e-check price higher than the e-gold price?

Thinking of writing a bad e-check? Think about THIS first!

Description

This is a generic product sold under its chemical name "metamizol".

Novalgina, an analgesic, is used to treat mild to moderately severe pain.

For additional information on Novalgina click here (Spanish).

Manufacturer: Recalcine

Country of Origin: Chile

Other names: dipirona

I'd skip it and look to other alternatives such as 02.   It seems to be just another name for an over the counter aspirin to me.

Ronnie please stick around and ask questions here.  No one is a Dr. but between the lot of us...we probably have several thousands of years of experience with Doctors and meds and other information.

ask away....Please.
