It didn't go over my head either Potter.  Which is amazing, since most things DO.  LOL

  And don't you be leaving Gladys outside in the Montana winters, o.k.?  Put her in a climate controlled garage.

Man, I haven't heard the name Blue Flame in a long, long time - probably would have never thought of it again if you hadn't mentioned it. The only time I've seen one was in a restored '55.

a guy i used to work with had one in a '54 chevy. it had an offenhauser intake with 3 stromberg carburetors on a plain blue engine. 3 spd on the tree. as heavy as that car was it would still put you back in the seat.

Slinger as in oil slinger, Potter?  Just curious....I like old cars.
