i thought this was a pretty cool video of the rockies. i've never been up to canada although i've seen similar roads in similar conditions . those 2 lane mountain roads take a while to maneuver but the scenery is nice if you drive it in the daytime.

That was beautiful Johnny.   Beautiful but very scary, even with only 4 wheels.

Wow you sure do get to see some gorgeous places with your job.

WOW - I read the title and first thought is whooohooooo - we're going to have a visitor up in our neck of the woods!

If you ever have the chance to get up here Johnny......just do it.  The Dempster is not that bad until the wind starts to blow the snow and you can't see where the road is.  I could tell you some cool stories about that road.  Used to go cariboo hunting up there.  The beginning, from the Dawson City end is about 6 hours from here (Whitehorse).

We have a thing in the towns along the Dempster (few and far between) about all the women washing their clothes in Tide...........because it's too cold outtide!  lol

Thanks for sharing your post.

Simply beautiful scenery.  I agree with you it's nicer to drive it in the daytime.  I was scared shitless driving on a 2 lane highway in the snow in Idaho at 8:30 at night  Shocked

Here every day Linda, even though I don't post much.

Have to share one story about being on the Dempster - we were around Eagle Plains and there was a sign saying North Pole, 5 km.  My son was 5 yrs old then, but knew how to read that sign............how do you tell a 5 yr old that he can NOT go and visit Santa Claus?  It was somewhere around the middle of Nov. and if I remember rightly he settled for the fact that Santa was tooooo busy making toys since Christmas wasn't that far away.
