Good Bye Harry the K

Amazing how a man you never met can touch your life.  Harry Kalas was a great man.  My own memory as a young kid was being outside on a hot summer night playing kick the can or freedom or something.  Come in for a cool drink or snack.  Put the Phils on and here Harry call the game.  I'll never forget those days.  RIP Harry Kalas

Another legend gone to the big diamond in the sky.

I have been listening to the Brewers-Reds game tonight, and Bob Uecker was noticably shaken when he announced it.

Also, Mark "The Bird" Fidrych died in an accident while working on his truck today.

A sad day for baseball, indeed.

Hey Kev,

I am thinking about going to the tribute for Harry this Saturday morning at Citizen's Bank Park.  Are you going to go, too?

If so, let us know and maybe John and I could try to meet up with you.

R.I.P. Harry.  Thanks for the decades of memories.  You will never know how much you meant to your Philly and Phillie's fans.

No can do on the tribute.  i would love to go.  ITs birthday week around here.  Saturday is the big party for both of the kids over in Cherry Hill.  I intend to mourn Harry with a few beers Sat Night.

They said he died of heart disease, plaque build up in the arteries.
