Me vs. Chainsaw (WARNING, pics, but not too bad)
May 22nd, 2009 at 12:01pm

So, yesterday my leg had a VERY close call with a chainsaw, however I became another chainsaw statistic! LOL  My dad and I were working outside yesterday, burning pine tree libs, brush and cutting down pampus grass.  We were ALMOST done when the accident happened.

He moved one way and I moved another...LUCKILY (thank you Jesus) he had taken his finger OFF the trigger and just barely nicked me.  My dad and I don't dance well together with a chainsaw...LOL  It got the inside of my left shin.  The cut was about 6 centimeters long and gashed pretty good, requiring 10 stitches (5 double stitches).

Needless to say, my dad feels pretty bad!! LMAO!!

Sitting in the ER waiting for the needle and thread...

I was MORE than lucky, I think.  Had to have had a guardian angel on my shoulder yesterday!!!   Smiley

Oh dear - Steph I'm so glad you are ok.

You're right - it could have been much much worse.  I'll bet your dad feels just terrible.

WOW...! Lucky girl, you are fortunate your dad took his finger of the trigger. At least you have an old war wound to show the grand children about the day you did battle with the evil pampas grass... Smiley

You mean you've come out from the last time you went to hide?

Some of us might actually find a woman using manly equipment just a little on the hot side. Wink

Hi I have to use a chainsaw to cut firewood once in a while and Never Ever do it when my boyfriend is at home! He has a nasty habit of sneaking up on me.

I think you are very lucky and maybe it might possibly be a good idea to consider the special pants that you can wear around those dangerous things.

Nice legs.... what is your workout routine because I am jealous?
