Headache Sensation long after attack is over
Nov 5th, 2009 at 4:49am

I am getting sensation of pain behind my eye similar to cluster although my attack is over 3 months back. I visited a neurosurgeon and he told me that my blood pressure is very high. Actually I have been under a lot of stress from last one year due to my new job. I am worried if i am turning chronic or is it due to my high blood pressure. Any suggestions please.

How often do you get this pain and how long does it last?  What's the rating of pain?

I get this kind of pain before or after a hit which we all know as "shadows".

You're worrying about an unknowable future (becoming chronic) and not attending to the immediate need--high BP!

IF you think this residual pain arises from the BP, then start with that issue and see what happens. In any case, untreated high BP leads to a multitude of medical problems if not properly and consistently treated.

I am having the same thing and am fearing the same thing (chronic)!  My cluster cycle has been over for a month.  I also had this happen a year ago with my last cycle and though it got better, it never totally went away.  Well, let me explain...if I take Verapamil, it is okay, but if I try to taper the Verapamil, it comes back.  I don't know why I would have to continue the Verapamil.  I take Corgard for my blood pressure.  Strangely enough, my blood pressure isn't really low on both of them...and once in a while it is kind of high.  My doctor also thinks it is the blood pressure, but I have never had this happen before I started Verapamil a year ago.  Always before, when my cycle was over...it was over!

I am getting these shadows at around 2-3 on KIP scale. But recently i have been trying EFT (Emotional freedom technique) and it seems to help. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register is the link to testimonies of people who have been benefited from EFT. Hope this keeps helping me. Smiley
