Obviously the Colts will win it all.  Smiley

I'm guessing the opponent will be the Saints.

Farve wont ever shut up.  When he dies, he will haunt ESPN with rumors he is resurrected and returning to play for the Bears!

If there is any justice in the universe, Fav-re will get his come-uppins and flop in this game.

He is an extreme ego maniac and the balance must be restored.

Nature abhors a vacuum. Equilibrium will be rendered.

Cry you self centered, self important, pretentious little boy.

Go Saints. That's it.

Well the Jets cheated and somehow managed to suck all of the oxygen out of San Diego's stadium resulting in a choke of a magnitude rarely seen........so I hope they lose.

Colts......you gotta admit, it'd be nice to see a clas act like Peyton Manning get a ring...

Drew Brees....talk about a class act...and we let him walk away from San Diego and got NOTHING in return...sigh

Brett Farve.....yeah...a certain poetic ring to a superbowl win and ride off into the sunset...

Jets cheat....

Yeah....I'm going with the Colts!

Ah c'mon Steve G,

Tell us how you really feel about Brat..er..ummm I mean Bret...(did I say that out loud?).....lmao!!!!

I gotta go with KJ on a Colts / Saints showdown but I'm not convinced yet that the Saints don't have a chance to take it all.  For sure, if it ends up bein between them its gonna be a damn good game!!

Just wish my Cowboys hadn't decided to show up in Minn as Cowgirls instead  Cry Cry      Ah hell, they're just waitin til next year so they can play the first Super Bowl in their new digs....that's my story and I'm stickin to it!!

Best crowd sign I saw when the Viqueens came to Lambeau this year with Favre (yes, Joe - the "v" comes first):

Sorry about that.

The very first pro-football game I attended was when the Baltimore Colts played the St. Louis Cardinals in City Park Stadium. This was an exhibition game when the NFL was considering expanding the league and New Orleans was a potential city.

Low and behold the commissioner decided to award my city a franchise...my Saints.

When I was a kid, a friend of mine went down to Tulane Stadium on Sunday and climbed a fence next to the up ramp and sneaked into the home games on a regular basis. David and I even sneaked into a Superbowl when the Chiefs played the Vikings in SBIV. He even caught a extra point before the day
when they put the nets up.

I drank my first beer with my Dad at that stadium when he would get tickets from his company. We sat on the west side of the stadium and it was hot. To this day it was the coldest beer I ever had and I will not forget it. I was a man.

All through the years I thought the Saints could not possibly devise another possible way of loosing. And every year they disabused my beliefs.

We had a good team at the same time San Fransisco had Montana. We had a few chances in between but it never seemed to fall our way.

The came 2006, Drew Brees, and a trip to the NFC Championship game. We were so happy, as a city, just to make it to that level. We lost and did not even make it to the playoffs in 2007 and 2008 but we knew it was just a matter of time.

Now we are here again. The city is jacked-up, the office is jacked-up and everywhere you go it's Saints.

The little boy that sneaked into the stadium is now 54 and his team is once again on the verge of going to the Superbowl.

There is no possible way I can express what Drew Brees has done for this city.  I'm sure that he has personal goals down deep but he wants more than anything to bring a championship to the city. Its about the fans first. His arrival to the team can not be measured. That's the difference. Farve is more about Farve.  Drew is more about the city and its people.

We're stoked.

I love football. It is truly the perfect game.

Who Dat...yeah you right.

What a WONDERFUL story Steve....I was smiling all through it.

Next to the GREATEST quarterback who ever lived.....and I shouldn't even have to say it...John Unitas!....Archie Manning is my favorite. He did MORE with LESS support than any athlete I can think of....guts, smarts, class, determination...get back on your feet time after time after time. His sons successes are only right!

Who dat INDEED!

Best,

Jon

Funny you should say that Jon. Johnny Unitas was the QB in that game.

I immediately became a Johnny U fan. In fact my parents ordered jerseys for Christmas around that time form the Sears catalog for me and my little brother. When I opened my gift it was a white jersey with blue stripes and the number was 19. While they did not admit it, I knew they made a special request for that color and number.

I wore that jersey till the rubberized numbers were falling away from the cloth. It was indeed the best Christmas gift Santa ever brought to me.

I have a football on the shelf in my office and weather permitting, I play pitch and catch at the end of lunch with my younger co-workers in the parking lot. It's become a ritual.

It still a tight spiral but if I had my number 19 jersey on they would really see the good stuff with a lot less loft.

Poor Archie.... wrong time..wrong place. 100% heart.

You had to bring up Johnny U!  What a class act that man was!  The combo of him and Raymond Berry was unparalled in my opinion.  It broke my heart when Broadway Joe and the Jets beat the Colts in the Super Bowl.  I've hated the Jets for years for that.  Irrational, I know, but it is what it is.

Maybe this will be the year that Saint's fans can take the paper bags off.  I don't watch football anymore, but guess what's playing on my tv?  Sarah can't stand football.  Guess what she's doing with her boyfriend?  Watching the game.  Jimbos' watching the game at his shop.
