just thought I would join the group - about time really I have suffered for 28 years with clusters and I am just about to come out of my current cycle- happy days. I know that most of you will have heard of and probably used Imigran injections. I myself have used them for the last two episodes and find that they give immediate relief within nine minutes they have been somewhat of a godsend for me at last I have found something that stops me from walking the streets at ridiculous hours in the morning. I did some family history research to try to establish the hereditary link and found that my great grandmother suffered with terrible headaches from time to time though was never diagnosed as a sufferer - not that they probably new what it was back then. Anyhow thank you for allowing me to join and I look forward to reading the many posts in the mean time I wish all current sufferers a peaceful and pain free evening.

Good to meet you but I'm sorry it has to be related to this horror. I'm happy Imigram has worked well for you. I was stunned at the number of sufferers and of ways to deal with CH. Lots of good stuff here along with a fair share of fun and games.

Let us know how things are going.

Hope you don't mind if I get friendly and call you Marty?

Trex. Imitrex.  Call it what you will...it sure is a great med when it works.

Welcome to the loony bin, nut house, funny farm, and HOME....

Please read up on O2 over there to the left...second yellow link.  If you think Trex is great wait till you read up on Oxygen and then go to the link called clusterbusters, and read more.

Lots of great info and good things to help you next cycle.

Welcome Martin, everyone here knows exactly what you go through so there is no one here gonna tell you go lie down and take an aspirin, or any other lame responses that we've all gotten.  We suffer the worst pain known to man and we survive, we commiserate, we share important information and tips and we let each other vent too.

You only get one vent per every cycle though so watch it o.k.  After that we kick your ass back to reality that these HA's will not kill you.  They have made all of us some of the strongest SOB's on the face of the planet.   (JK about the first sentence in this paragraph)  just making sure your were awake.  LOL  which leads me to another thing.  Without a good sense of humor not many of us would not be able to cope.  You'll find many nonsense and downright hilarious threads started right here.   Grin

I know you said your almost done with this cycle, but I want you to read the link to your left on pure oxygen.  Anyone here can answer your questions on it's use and if it isn't already in your arsenal it SHOULD be for your next cycle.   I can sometimes abort an attack in as little as 10 mins.  02 is safe, cheap, and no side-effects.

Can we ask you where you live?  No address or anything like that.. but we really like to know where folks live because sometimes we have get-togethers or someone needs help and others are more than willing to bring a tank of 02 to someone if they knew they lived in the next town or with-in driving distance..That sort of thing.
