The Need to Know Why
Oct 12th, 2010 at 11:05pm

I set in the window to watch the night sky.
I find myself asking the stars why.
Clouds float across the moon.
I know that morning comes all too soon.
Forcing me to face yet another day.
With mouths that talk with nothing to say.
So for now I set in the window.
Calmness around me that I rarely know.
Hidden in darkness feels safe and right.
I wish there was no end to this night.
But I see the faint touch of sun on the edge.
As I sit perched on my window ledge.
Suspended sweetly from reality for a while.
I can’t stop my lips from forming a small smile.
Here in my window, just me and the sky.
I know I’m not alone and I don’t need to know why.

Its been a long time. I'm at college and doing good. Just thought I would post to let you know I'm still alive. PF wishes.
~Felicia.

Hmmm.  I love your talent Felicia & I DO love how your emotions are always out in front for those you love.  The dark dreary, depressive and very angry poetry scared me, for a child so young as you were at the time you first started posting your poems.  How old were you?  13..14 at the time?

A lot of us were worried about you.   Kiss

I'm just so glad to hear life is getting better, you're in college etc.  Your words reflect what's going on in your life and it is a good thing.

Big hugs to you and give one to you Dad from me too.

Felicia,
I'm so glad to hear from you too!  Glad you are doing well, and I too really liked the tone of this poem.  You are never far from mind, nor from my prayer list.  Keep doing well.
