I will be healing up from the ole butt camera on the 23rd.  ShockedI think(or hope) there will be enough time to develop a good turd for the occasion. Smiley

By my reconing that's very good timing.  You'll be ravanous after the prep.  The prep is the worst part.  And the drugs aren't too bad.

-Dennis-

The anesthesiologist will select the best drugs for you to make the procedure completely painless. Doctors often combine a sedative to relieve anxiety with a painkiller. Versed is the most commonly used anti-anxiety drug for colonoscopies. It brings on deep relaxation or sleep. It also causes amnesia. You may not remember talking to the doctor after your procedure. Versed is combined with painkillers, such as Demerol, Valium or Fentanyl.

Human beings have eye teeth...tearing teeth that are meant for just that....tearing meat from road kill of one's choice.

Nothing says Thanksgiving like taking a tour up the dirt road. It boggles my mind that anyone chooses this as a specialty......I mean, seriously!

Mmmmhhh, having dinner at my Dad's with the family on Thursday, then we have a tree-trimming party and turkey dinner on Friday with my husband's family, his kids and the grandkids (we have 8, though only 5 will be there).

We started the tradition a few years ago. We put the tree up before they all come over. The kids have to bring ornaments to decorate the tree: handmade, dated, whatever. Sometimes they're school pictures that they frame and turn into ornaments. They've made cookie cutouts with yarn. You get the idea. We put the previous years' on and then they put on the new ones.

We just do a roast turkey, but with white cheddar mashed potatoes, twice baked sweet potato casserole, polish stuffing full of cabbage and pork, broccoli bake courtesy of my step-daughter (she's not allowed in unless she brings it, LOL). Hopefully, I'll be able to find some Great Lakes Christmas Ale. I'll be checking the store every day till Friday to try to get some. Wish I could drink it. I haven't had a drink in six weeks. I'll be lucky to drink some Asti on Christmas at this rate.

My mom just moved from Atlanta to PA so she's coming to town on Saturday. Haven't seen her since my sister's wedding Easter weekend. Her birthday is on Thanksgiving so we're going to celebrate on Saturday by hanging out. I'm going to take her to see the new Harry Potter movie (more for me than for her, but I'm her daughter so she lets me indulge myself every now and again, teeheehee),

And to cap off the weekend, we're volunteering at the Browns game and collecting toys for Touchdowns for Tots with the Marines. My company is sponsoring it this year. Then we get tickets to the game where they will hopefully get another win against the Panthers.

It's going to be a great weekend!

Many Happy Thanksgivings and wishes for pain free days to my supersized CH family. Be safe and enjoy the holiday.

It's o.k John,  hi-jacking threads is a time honored occurance around here.  I knew it when I first posted that it might be.  Never thought it would extend to Colonoscophies...but hey, we are what we are around this place.   lol

Katie, I LOVE those type of family traiditions, they're what makes the Holiday memories so imprinted in the kids. I swear i still get choked up when I unpack all those stupid handmade ornaments the kids did up over the years, talk about bringing back the memories of christmas past! Smiley
