Went to the chemist today
Nov 23rd, 2010 at 3:47pm

Off i trouped to the chemist to pick up my sumatriptan, which i sent a prescription into the doctors last thursday and again another prescription request monday just gone, and guess what nothing the doctor hasn't signed it off, is she having a laugh i knew this would happen, i bet i'm going to have to make an appointment to see her which will take another week to get, with no medication, notice i managed not to swear or even *** out the swear word.
thats self control that is, think i may try that at 2am whilst holding on to my heads peeping through one eye and jumping up and down swearing at the wall, oh and sucking ice cubes  Sad

Angry your doctor obviously doesn't have a friggin clue when it comes to the pain of this thing.  AGHHHHHH

Hope you've stocked up on the energy drinks, melatonin, ice/heat packs etc  I think there is also a 'four way nasal spray' or something like that you can get over the counter that's spose to be good and or allergy tabs....

Good luck!!

Perhaps she's like my infant doctor to whom I remarked that he was too young yet to have had any pain.

Do a blackmail search on your doctor. You never never know; maybe there's something you can use...... Sad

Good grief went to the doctors today, i dont believe i saw the same person i got everything, bucket loads of suma, increase in verapramil and best of all O2 15lph the latter aint arrived yet, my faith hath been restored.
got my melatonin tab as well today so going to give them a go i think its 9mg 30mins before sleepy time, my verap has been increased to 250mg not to sure if thats enough but we'll see.
been wacked every night so far at 3:30am was lucky this morning as a friend of mine who is a sufferer gave me a nasal shot of suma and that worked a treat it didn't taste to bad either.
can anybody tell me if suma should make your shoulders feel like dead weights coz thats what it does to me very odd feeling.
been having a few what i think you call shadows if thats what faint aches are called(you can tell im new here) been banging in the monster drinks and off they go the only downside is drinking to many, but thats my philosophy if you aint shakin you aint losin weight  Grin Grin
the doc said she woud increase the verap over time, do folk take spit doses or just once ???

thanks for reading  Smiley

Smiley  great!!  You're well on your way now!!   I've not used the injects so can't help you there.  With the 'shadows' I often find that exercise can help - I often take a long walk with the dog or kick the footy around with my son.

In the past when I used verap I'd split it over the day, so three doses.  I have to say tho' I found it hard going because my blood pressure is pretty low anyway it really took its toll - had to have a least one nanna nap a day  Wink

Good luck with the oxygen - I'm so excited for you - I hope you get the same results that so many of us have and if not post and let us know - might just be a matter of tweaking.

Wishin you all the very best,

Kate

It's great to hear that things are moving forward like this.

Your Verapamil dose at 250mg is still fairly low. Lots find relief between 360 and 480mg per day, but some go up to and just over 1000mg.

Once you get the hang of oxygen you'll be one of the converted, singing it's praises and encouraging those not using it to give it a try. It's a real game changer for dealing with CH. Read the tips on the left and you'll soon be killing CHs in no time at all.
