O2 and triptan
Nov 28th, 2010 at 2:01am

Hi here is something i used the last couple of days wich gave me at least a couple more hours of sleep.

I was on night shift last week 22:00 to 06:00 and getting 3 hits a day with 2 hours seperation (go to sleep 2 hours later up and dancing) wich you can imagine is a pain in the arse especially if you have worked all night. So after the first hit around 09:00 wich i killed off with O2 i took one of my tablets, Maxalt Lingua 10mg wich melt on the tongue (taste like crap but hey) after wich i was able to sleep for around 6 hours and once the beast didnt wake me. I was very happy with this result but i must allso warn everyone of the side effects. first off all i can take 1 in any 24hrs and only for 10 days so not for constant use. allso this is a triptan and one side affect is headaches  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy and can prolong a cycle.
maxalt for me is only used in extreme cases where i cant get to my O2 or i havent slept properly for 3-4 days. O2 is my only abortive and will continue to be untill some smart arse finds a cure  Smiley

The standard maxalt instructions I've seen are that you can take 2 doses in 24 hours but should always wait at least 2 hours between doses.

Good reminder there bbz about how it can't be used along with imitrex.

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

I can't believe that I have to bang my Head against this wall again. But the blows they have just a little more Space in-between them. Gonna take a breath and try again.
