Hey everyone!!

I have put a call into the Best Western again to look for us in January 2012. The sales manager will be getting back to me shortly to get rates and all the other good stuff down on paper. Hopefully I will have a final reservation code by the end of the week!!

SAVE THE DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For January 12-15, 2012

Alrighty everyone, I have a contract in hand for room rates! She has given us a $64.99 room rate (plus all their crazy taxes).

Since the hotel is completely smoke-free, we will no longer be able to congregate down in the lounge. She has booked a meeting space, the Kittyhawk Room, free of charge as long as we book 10 rooms with our group.

The hotel info is as follows:

The dates are Thursday, January 12 - Sunday, January, 15.

It's kinda sorta, well actually TOTALLY my fault. Roll Eyes

Those that know me know I realized a lifelong dream last year when I bicycled cross country, coast to coast. The group I went with, Adventure Cycling, offered me a position as a tour group leader. Yeah, they're going to PAY ME to lead bicycle tours all around the country.

Timing being what it always is for me, the four day course I have to attend, offered once a year, is THIS weekend. I'll miss y'all, but for an old, washed up, retired cop, this was a dream come true job offer.

CONGRATS Joe!!!

I am needing to get an idea of how many will be attending in January. Our drop date for this group is DECEMBER 12th!
If no one has made reservations by then I will cancel the group reservation, otherwise, DJ and I will be held to a $787.00 bill...no thank you!

Will be:
in a class in Jackson MS on the 12th then touring New Orleans the 15th through 17th during Richard's convention, then a Milwaukee class (required) on the 20th

OR

on a cruise, leaving from New Orleans, that includes the same required class as Milwaukee (and therefore the cruise is entirely deductible!!) the 15th through the 22nd
