GOOD neuro story....
Mar 16th, 2013 at 10:12am

Visted my neuro yesterday for my botox injections (for chronic migraines - and they're working)...

He was excited .. told me he'd just gotten a NEW CH patient and had broken her cycle and she was doing great right now. (episodic). He also told her to come HERE for support and to find out all about CH.

Now ya'll know (if you've been here any time at all) that I adore my neuro and think he's the greatest. He treats about 50-60 Chers ( a lot of who I've sent to him) and all of us feel the same about him. He checks this board out and keeps up with the latest in what we're doing and ASKS everytime I go in if we've come up with anything new.

I was telling him some of the complaints about docs that ya'll have been saying and he was shaking his head and saying he just didn't understand WHY doctors didn't listen to their patients, but knew they didn't.

I did mention the Vit D3 and he said he's started doing (and I think I'm right on this) D screens and putting CHers on it. Also said it's doing good for MS and some other stuff. And melatonin he really believes in.

But after the horror stories I've been hearing (or reading) on here, I just thought everyone would appreciate a "good" story about a "good" doc who actually knows what a cluster is and is "learning" along with us what works and isn't afraid to listen to his patients.

I just wish everyone could find one like him. If any of you are in the East Texas area - if you'll call me I'll give you his name and number.. he's worth driving from Dallas or wherever .. he's just that good.

PF days to all..  Kiss

That's good to hear!!
I have a good head doctor as well. The clinic I go to is a migraine and headache clinic, and they see a lot of CH patients. It's easy to see; CH'ers have bright yellow files, so that we get priority when we call in, and they have lots of yellow in the back room! Anyway, I'm going in to see him soon, and I will be bringing all the info I have on the D3 regimen. He always listens to what I have to say, and really takes his time (which is not common in a place where we have free healthcare).
I am hoping this can help other CH'ers in Montreal who haven't found this site.

Barbara, please give him a big "THANK YOU!!!" from me, who has had about a dozen, all but two of whom I've fired.  I love the one I have now because he knows little about CH and knows it, so he is very open to working WITH me on it.  The only prob I have with him is that he is afraid of Vit D.

I think we need to start cloning the few good ones. Or at least get them educating the rest.

It is amazing just how much difference there is between them despite all going to the same medical schools and learning the same material.
