No need to apologise for your English, Mamadmetal. Your use of apostrophes is better than many who write it as their first language.

Please tell us more about the headache you had. We may be able to help.

Wwelcome to the board! Cluster Headaches are a rare disorder, they can be a pain, but certainly treatable! Let us know a little more about your headaches, when they started, how they were diagnosed, and what you're doctor is doing to treat them. We'll help all we can.

When I am in a cycle and try to take a nap I get hit with a CH about 20 minutes into the nap. This happens pretty much every time. I am surprised that laying down helps your headache go away. For me it makes the pain much worse and I can't even sit still. Mine also come on usually between 12AM to 3pm. Mine have always been this bad from when I first started getting them. I don't know if they gradually get worse. It doesn't sound similar to mine but like I said maybe it takes a few cycles for some people before they get into a routine. I would see a neurologist and get diagnosed through them so you can obtain the proper treatment. I hope you feel better and hopefully it's not CH.

Your symptoms don't side like mine at all. I am just starting to learn about CH as well as you so symptoms may vary among sufferers but I am not sure. If I were you I would do some more reading online and see how much symptoms vary among people who have CH.

Oh wow that stinks. Are there any good doctors in surrounding countries you could see. I know doctors are very expensive and I don't know your financial situation, but that might be an option worth checking out. I don't blame you for worrying about the medicines doctors prescribe. Some of them are really bad for you.

Self diagnosis is a tricky thing, especially when it comes to head pain. We know next to nothing about your situation: where you live, what treatments have been tried, what doctors you have seen. Using the internet for a comparison of symptoms is not an official diagnosis, and can lead to some dangerous practices. I would encourage you to work with whatever physician you can find, and if you must, begin educating him/her yourself. Keep a headache diary that describes when and where you got a headache, its location in your head, what did or did not help to relieve the pain, that kind of thing. This can go a long way in helping a doctor make a good diagnosis. If this is CHs, and I stress if, there are ways to manage them. blessings. lance

Mamadmetal,

Though it is not as common as pain that remains localized on one side of your head, it does happen and this is in fact what happens for me, sometimes within an attack and sometimes from one attack to the next. I'm thankful that they are not too painful for you although any pain is too much. Have you found help? Are there things that you are doing for them.

Here's to a pain free future.
