I recently read an artical, people suffering from hay fever
allergies and CH's, have taken Loratadine for their hay fever,
have also found pain relief in their CH's. Smiley

I remain convinced that there is some type of relationship between allergies and ch...maybe tenuous...but dang, there seems to be sumthin there...

early in my ch career(30 yrs ago)...antihistamines seemed beneficial...but that passed...currently I am allergic to lots of stuff that I didn't used to be and loratadine is my drug of choice...alas it has no effect on ch

best

G'day Jon,
Sorry to say, but it seems to boil down to, that we are all
different. Gee where's that cure hiding. Smiley

Cheers, Hoppy.

I noticed a coincidence in the sneezes from my sons room and his attacks. so i had him taking advil and claritin before going to bed every night ,, didnt seem to help. although research indicates a histimine reaction but they say it cannot be helped with regular antihistimes currently available. maybe this new one is different ?

G'day Didgens,
Hoping you get some relief for your son with Loratadine.
It's + side is it's nonsedating properties. I suffered from
hay fever many years ago, i had tried most otc stuff with
no relief, so i sought advice from my doc, he gave me a
script for Rhinocort nasal spray, hav'nt suffered from hay
fever (allergies.) since. It's now available otc here down
under, my son tried it and also got good results. Maybe
it's worth checking out there in the US.

I would suffer from allergies regularly in the spring and fall - i would take different medications to feel better - this year was my first time getting CH and it happened to start right when my allergies would usually be at their peak.  Since I've been in cycle (since end of May 2013) my allergies have disappeared.  Curious to see what happens this fall if I can ever get out of this cycle..
