Yep, for sure I've been angry, but mostly at the world in general and CH in particular. There's many of us here will admit to, "Touch me, I keel you!"

Even so, the fact that you admit your anger and are prepared to discuss it counts for heaps.

Please try to explain it to your friend, or invite her here and we'll do our best to help.

Better days ahead,

Brian.

I have almost stabbed a coworker with a Chef Knife because they wouldn't STFU. They knew I was having a bad attack and kept arbitrarily asking me questions. It wasn't until I pointed my knife at them and said "STFU or I will stab you right where you stand.....I am prepared to do the jail time for it". Would I have actually stabbed him? I honestly don't know. I just know that when I am having a bad attack, people talking to me or touching me can lead to very very bad things. Be sure to tell your supporters the "dos and donts" when you are getting attacked. I know that we all will snap at someone if they won't leave us alone.

For sure irritation and frustration are really normal reactions. I know I just want to be left alone, and get quite annoyed when folk interrupt my misery.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

The most direct--and least helpful response-is: most folks moral judgment and the law would not approve of attacking someone who is annoying even when we are in the midst of an attack.

Your self-interest would be best served by developing strategies for you to handle your pain. Most of us find retreating into a quiet, darken room is good self-protection. (A noisy voice is as irritating as being in a noisy room. It's not the source of the noise but the noise itself which hits us so hard during an attack.)

I suspect that most of us want to be ALONE. So it's up to us to plan ahead, as best we can, figuring out how to alter our environment to get some relief.

HELPFUL self-protection is our responsibility.

Clusters can cause stress, but that in and of itself isn't going to cause or justify a violent outburst. If this is something you experience often, I would suggest looking into some anger management to try and give yourself some ways to manage it.

Try to make up with your friend as none of us can afford to lose any. Remember, she has no idea what you go through so she can't possibly understand. Ask her to be your supporter and invite her to join us here on the supporters board. When she has learned a bit about your condition it will help her understand and know what to do. And while she supports you, we will support her.

How you feel and what you do are two completely different things. Nobody will fault you for feeling angry and perhaps wanting to do something, as long as you are able to control yourself. It's when the feelings lead to action that the line has been crossed, and you will probably find yourself dealing with legal problems on top of the clusters.
