Very quiet today
Feb 10th, 2016 at 10:21pm

It's been quiet here so thought I'd tell a story.
Yesterday I took a load of junk to the landfill-dump. I was backed up to the dumpster unloading when another pickup backed up to another dumpster. The door opened and a grossly fat guy was huffin' n puffin' as if steering this truck backwards was the hardest thing he had ever done.
This guy was about 5'9" and at least 300 pounds. It was all he could to get get his fat rear out of the seat and his feet to the ground. Then he attempted you get up on the rear bumper. I say attempted 'cause he didn't make it. Then he tired again but gravity won. The third try was the charm. Just about killed him but he got his lard-ass up to the truck bed.
In the bed of the Orca's pickup was a treadmill. Appeared to be a brand new, never used treadmill. He pulled, pushed, lifted and cussed. Finally he got one end up to the top of the tailgate but try as much as he could blubber-butt could not get the exercise machine over the top of the dumpster.
That's when I left. Laughing at the fat slob that was so over weight, out of shape and so weak that he couldn't even throw his excercise treadmill away. I'll bet it was Christmas present from his mommy trying to give him a hint.

Makes it hard to keep a straight face.

I'm looking after a mate who's recovering from a terrible ordeal and drove him to one those excercise-supply stores for some stuff he needed.

One of the shop attendants was seriously overweight while the other stank of cigarettes and was dinkum winded just carrying our little purchases out to my car.

We laughed all the way to pub about the lousy advertisement they made for the business paying their wages.

Heck, I'm so cheap.. I'd have offered to help him, dropped it on the ground and waited till he left and put it in my truck and took it HOME.. You did say it was brand new... Great Christmas present for my kids...  Smiley

That's why people have "garage sales".. he probably could have gotten a little money out of that thing.. and saved the exertion..

Now at my age I have to be careful... I keep a cinder block on my front porch. When I feel the need for exercise I go out and walk around the block..  Kiss Kiss
