Been a while

They came back today with a vengance. It was much easier to hide it from the kids when they were younger but earlier this evening they got to see a full on snot slinging, crying mess. Need to get with the neurologist and get back on my preventative meds, glad I still have the O2 concentrator here at the house. Sorry my brain is scrambled right now that was one of the worst headaches I have had earlier today and I am still trying to gather myself together.

Sorry you are getting hit again. You definitely need to get started on the Vit D3 regimen (see the Meds and Treatments board) ASAP. Also, when you see your neuro, get 100% O2 instead of the concentrator. The concentrator will not provide a high enough flow rate to be effective, and it will put out less than 90% O2, which is not optimum for CH.

Give those kids a hug and sit down with them and explain what is happening, that you are not going to die, and yes, it is scary, but you will be OK. Kids are resilient, and if you give them tasks to help you, such as getting you a cool cloth for your head, getting ice, etc. it will give them a way to feel like they are helping. Most of all, reassure them you will be OK and explain the necessity of being quiet and leaving you alone when you are in the middle of a hit.

(((HUGS)))
