Sleeping with oxygen concentrator
Dec 4th, 2021 at 1:44am

Hi,

Has anyone tried sleeping with an O2 mask hooked to the oxygen generation at low flow to prevent night time attack?

I read some people having positive results from CPAP machine and so thought would an O2 concentrator at low flow works even better?

Thank you

I am one of those who have had extraordinary success with the CPAP machine.  Since 2015 I have been CH-free after suffering over 5 years from chronic nighttime hits.  If you are in a similar situation, the only way to be certain is to get a sleep study done.  Feel free to PM with any questions.  Good luck.  Whichever way you go there is help out there.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for sharing.

Did you try the CPAP or the O2 concentrator?

The O2 machine I am looking at claims to deliver 1-10LPM at 95% purity. I know it’s lesser than the recommended dosage but is thinking to give it a shot.

Plan is to sleep with 2LPM and to switch to 10LPM to abort daytime attacks.

Best regards.

G'day,  Plakatboy,  and over the years I've seen many comments from people trying variously the CPAP or concentrators and while many say neither helped at all there's been several comments from people who reckon they saw a distinct improvement.

Importantly,  I've never heard a single word to suggest they caused any ill effect other than being a little uncomfortable.

Given those statistics I'd say simply go for it.  Nothing ventured,  nothing gained.
