That's it -- the "ice pick" seems to describe it to a tee. However, it seems like descriptions I've seen of it refer to pain centered more in the temporal area and behind the eye socket -- this is much farther back, and very close to the surface. I don't know if CPH refers to any short, stabbing, repetitive head pain, or solely to that which is similar (although much shorter duration) to clusters.
