After 20 years of suffering, and narcotic usage prescribed by my family doctor, I went to a neurologist. He prescribed prednisone 60 mg./dly., Verapamil 180 mg. dly., flexaril for muscle spasms, and Imitrex injectable for noctural clusters. After two days of treatment, my headaches totally disappeared.Usually these monsters last 6 to 8 weeks, but this cocktail of medication knocked them out only 3 weeks into the cycle...It may not work for you, but it sure worked for me.
