Ed,
Verapimil has never kept me up at night. However, after an entire night of no sleep (especially when there is no time to nap the next day) my body clock doesn't know it's time to go to sleep again at bedtime the following night.
Additionally, the adreneline surge associated with cluster headaches will also lend itself to my "cluster insomnia."
The only way to find out for sure is to cease verapimil use completely. If it is helping you with your headaches, I wouldn't suggest this.
Instead, try taking your 360 mgs of verapimil with a piece of bread and a large glass of water. My doctor informed me that drinking a lot of water helps the verapimil work better, particularly because it is a time-released medication.
Good Luck -- Vince
