Friends,
I just returned home from my follow-up exam to my recent MRI. As I suspected, the test showed
nothing abnormal......go figure. Anyway, I mentioned to my doctor some of the information I’ve
been fortunate enough to find on this message board. I asked him about Maxalt, and he told me
he had some samples and would be willing to let me try it. He doesn’t think it’ll work for CH -
he prescribes it for migraine, but he said he’s willing to give it a go to see if I get any results.
Does anyone out there have advice about Maxalt? I’m limited to only 12 doses per month, so I’m
gonna have to save it for the BAD ones. I’m mainly interested in knowing if anyone has ever
experienced bad side effects from the medication, particularly chest pains, nausea, nervousness,
or fatigue. Lastly, I’d like to know how long it takes to work, because if it takes too long it won’t
be worth messing with. I can usually “kill” one of my 7’s or 8’s within 45 minutes if I’m lucky
without the use of any extreme abortive medication. Please let me know. Thanks! --Vince
