I just started on maxalt yesterday. I was up to 50 mg. of imitrex, so my doctor thought it best to try something new. It works well for about 4 hrs. He also prescribed fiorinal with caffiene as an alternate drug to use at night or when I am home. But when I read the drug interaction labels, it appears as though I should not be taking these two prescriptions within the same 24 hr. period. I am very confused and still looking for something better. My last migraine lasted 4 days! It is awful. If anyone out there has any suggestions, e-mail me back. Thanks.
