I have been taking Maxalt for about 6 weeks now and I am extremely happy with it. It is the ONLY medication I have tried that completely wipes out the headaches. I've tried Imitrex but it did nothing. I haven't experienced a bad taste, but I do get an intense burning sensation in the area of the migraine and my throat when I eat or drink. The side effects only last about an hour and when they subside my headache is gone.
