I was on the stuff (40mg per day) for about 4 months. I didn't get depressed, but I did have a short fuse (which I never do, when myself). And I couldn't sleep more than 4 or 5 hours a night until I got exhausted . . . then I would sleep about 10 hours. I hated the stuff too. It was a blessing when I took it the first time for 10 days two years ago and it got rid of my CH for two years. But on the stuff for 4 months at 40 mg was way too much for me. And I tapered off slowly and still got sick each time I went down a quarter of a pill. I'm tapering off again now for the second time because of the CH coming back, and am down to a quarter of a pill a day. In 4 days I'll be off entirely . . . for good.
