You are very correct in saying that "We came for information, but we are gaining a great deal more." I personally have derived great strength from this site and DJ’s efforts should be lauded. There are many out there who’s words have strengthened me. Please, everyone, you never know how much your actions and words can affect another, especially when that person is suffering to the degree that we are suffering.
I am currently at the peak of my cycle and the pain is excruciating, my days are grueling, and I am thoroughly consumed by the end of the day. I procured some relief last night in a pitch black bathroom by taking an ice-cold shower. The problem is that my current state mental exhaustion caused me to weep irrepressibly for 5 or 10 seconds. I know, I know, its not a pretty picture for a grown man, but a quick discharge of emotional energy helped quite a bit and I believe that I was able to face my 4, 1.5 hour CHs today due to its occurrence.
Anyway, I get a great deal from this site and if I can help just one individual through a very trying time in their life I think I would the same immense satisfaction that you have seem to have received.
