My neuro is taking me off ergot and putting me on maxalt. The meds are not compatable and I was told to stop the ergot yesterday and not to take the maxalt until Sat. Last night I had a long and horrible CH and was forced to just ride it out. Luckily my husband was there with the water and ice. I have read water, ice, and cold showers may help. I have been doing the water thing for 3 days now. Any other suggestions I might try to get relief or abort the CH? I am chronic and am bracing for another round today. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
