If there is any comfort here it's that we are all in good company! I participate in groups on such diverse topics as dogs and prostate cancer--and the same periodic flare ups occur there, too. Perhaps one of the drawbacks of electronic communication--it can happen before we pause to consider what we are about to say. But the passions pass and we get settled down to the real work. Take it as a passing diversion--and don't engage.
