I have had c/h for 12 yrs; my oldest son (will be 16 on Sun.) diagnosed with migraines/with cluster tendancies. Asked my physician, who's been treating me throughout this thing, to get in touch with school nurse about use of imitrex. The school responded wonderfully. Just as an person with ashma would need inhaler, they've prescribed imitrex nasal spray for Ryan. Also, school has an O2 tank in the nurses office. Doctors intructions, written on RX pad, are to give Ryan Imitrex - in addition to 6-8 liters/hour of O2 for 15 minutes. It does the trick. You have a legit gripe with the school if they won't cooperate. Cluster/migraine can be identified as a disability, one which HAS to be (by most state laws) dealt with within the school system. Try getting help from your physician, then try school admin, then state board of ed. Don't give up ! You shouldn't be made to feel like a criminal. Best of luck. If there's anything I can do to help you, please let me know. e-mail is widcat66@AOL.COM. jULIE
