I think I have just begun my first go around with cluster headaches.
Last three nights, at 9:00 pm sharp, feels like a poker being shoved
into my right eyeball, then pain spreads out all over the right side
of my head. I'm 53 yr old female with no history of anything like
this ever. Is this unusual, all of you seem to have been having
attacks for years. I'm OK during the day, just a mild ache, but at
9:00, look out! How long (days, weeks, months) does a cycle last?
Am I in for this for the rest of my life? (If so, I think my life
will be very short, cuz I can't stand it!) I do drink beer, which
doesn't seem to cause the pain, however, I also drink vodka now and
then (have for years). Had vodka and tonic each of these three nights.
Could the vodka be my trigger?
I'm happy to have found this site, and am going to try the water,
the Welches and ginger, the vapo rub, EVERYTHING!
