Just found this page after being diagnosed yesterday. In my case I've had a daily attack in the evening, for the past 3 weeks, like clockwork, that lasts about a half hour or so and then fades away. Then a couple of nights ago it didn't fade away, just kept getting worse. Visions of tumors, cancer, etc. drove me to the emergency room. Something which I've never done before, no matter what I had broken, sprained, etc. Being an ex-marine, you learn that pain is just part of the process, and you push through it. But this pain was truly different, very scary. To have to experience this all day, all night, for weeks on end, as some of y'all seem to do... my heart goes out to you. I had my first bout about 6 years ago for a couple of weeks, and nothing until now. That first time was right after moving from an altitude close to sea level to a little more than a mile above. And where I live now is even higher. So I'm wondering, has anyone looked into altitude, connection to altitude sickness as a possible link to CH? Just wondering.
