Welcome, sorry you've joined the ranks of Cluster headache sufferers. I don't know about studies done or altitude sickness, but breathing Oxygen for 10 to 15 minutes at onset of headache attack will abort the headache more often than not. Perhaps the high altitude link is the thin air and reduction of O2 intake. Hope your bout ends soon.
