Not exactly a follow-up, but perhaps worth sharing, with a hope of an answer. Taken lithium for 5 years (900 mg.) and recently found to have high bilirubin levels, three months of severe bachache, diarrhea, increasing mental confusion, enlarged thyroid, anemia, etc. Just beginning testing. Possible long-term damage from lithium? Psychiatrist has not mentioned it, but family dr. wants to r/o hepatitis. I'm not buyin' it, are you? Thanks for any help.
