Irene please be careful with high dose of steriods over an extented time.
I was on Predisone for 5 mos at 60 mg a day. It made my skin thin, put dents in my nails, caused cataracks, moon face and a hump on the back of my shoulders. One doctor said that I was steriod poisoned and slowly took me off it. After 3 yrs I still have most of the symptoms mentioned above and the doctor said if it hasen't reversed by now it will be with me the rest of my life.
