As chronic pain sufferers we can rationalize all we want the need for medication, but when it comes down to it, if you are suffering from up to 10 headaches a day and relying upon medication to deal with them, you are doing damage to your body. It may not be visible now, but in years to come you will pay the price -particularly when you have headaches for decades.

I understand completely that need to be "pain free" and the temptation to think for the moment that "I'll take the pill now and deal with the addiction later".

What happens is that you may start taking the medication even when not in a cycle and you'll use every excuse (cut, a slight pain in the back etc) to continue.

Fortunately I haven't gone through this, I've always been hesitant to take a lot of drugs and now rely upon aspirin (as little as possible), ice and cold air.

P.S. When you're not into drugs, the times when you're headache free are that much better. AND NO REBOUNDS!
