Okay, so we CH'ers have above average intelligence / brain capacity; I'll drink to that! Someone once said to me that my headaches were caused by boredom. I thought it a quaint and amusing suggestion at the time, but never forgot it. So, here's my "theory" (to be taken with salt):

Some part of us generates these clusters in order to accomplish two things:
1. To use up spare brain capacity as we; a.) Deal with it, b.) Search for a 'cure', and c.) Handle the flak from non-CH'ers.
2. It releaves the boredom of everyday pain free life and provides us with a sense of accomplishment at the end of a long day and/or night.

As a long time chronic CH'er, I hesitate to add this but, maybe the worse the headaches are the more brain capacity / intelligence there is to use up? Okay, trash that bit.

Oh, I'd be more than interested to know the percentage of CH'ers who also stammer / stutter, as do I.

Just read over this message; boy! the rubbish we think about sometimes to distract ourselves!

Bye-Bye for now...

David Mc
