I have stuttered since I was in the first grade, and have always attributed it to a lack of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth--whatever you want to call it. I am 54 now, and, over the years, my speech problem seems to have come and gone. There were periods in my life in which I could barely speak at all. Whether or not there is any connection between it, my headaches, and my IQ (137), I couldn't say. But, I, too, would be interested in hearing from other CHer's who stutter.
