Got back from church a few minutes ago.
During church service today, my pastor's wife sang a solo, the title was "Peace in the Midst of the Storm", how appropriate for me today and for all of us. I really did find some peace in the midst of my storm from attending church today. It made me feel better inside, even if I still have this nasty CH. I guess it refreshed me and I needed that. We can all get on that Pity Party and really get down. I know I am, from fighting this Demon for 10 days now.
I must share with you all that are interested (and I know there are some that are not, so just bear with me). First of all, I found out that my pastor's wife, whom I have known for over 26 years and one of their 3 boys suffer from CH also. I knew she had migraines, but just like I have said so many times before, CH sufferers do not talk about their illiness with others. That makes 3 people including my nephew's wife, Robin Dobbins,(found out she had them from the "Where We Live" segment of our web site) that have been diagnosed with CH and we never knew each other were CH sufferers. Too much trouble trying to explain, justify why it takes, days, weeks, months, etc. to get over a series of CH. No one understands anyway and the "Oh yeas, I have those too" syndrome that none of us want to hear. They both have been diagnosed though. They did not know about the web site for CH, but now they do. She said she has to be very careful of what she takes because of a liver problem that will not let her obsorb certain medicines. Hormonal changes trigger her attacks. I requested prayer for all of you CHers in my Sunday School Class. No one else in my S S Class had even heard of Cluster Headaches before and there were 48 people in my class.

I asked my pharmacist, who also is a member of my church, before church began if I could do the Imitrex after I had done the Maxmalt. I know you cannot have more than 2 Imitrex in a 24 hr period and no more than 3 or 30 mg of the Maxmalt in 24 hr period. Since the Maxmalt had not fully gotten rid of the 5 or 6 I was in right then, I thought if it kept climbing I needed to do the Imitrex Injection. He said not good to mix, but if I had only done 1 Maxmalt that it wouldn't hurt me. Basically same type of med.
Most pain came from my neck at church, took a Darvocet during church for my neck pain. Still there, it didn't touch it.
Heartfelt thanks to each of you that posted a response to my "eye twitch" cry for help this morning and for the incouragement you gave me.
Just felt good just being back at church, since I missed last Sunday (was in for entire weekend with the CH then also).
