Hi Troy. I do agree with you on addiction vs pain. If it works,do it! But I remain open minded on trying other NEW meds. The only addictive drug I take is Vicodin for shadows. I am a painter(houses) and I think it can stop a full blown CH. But opiates never worked for me. I had a problem with alcohol so I let my employer hold them for me. But those who are prone to addiction will have trouble. I would probably triple the dosage for the high. But when synthetic opiates are used for pain, addiction is unlikely because it is being used kill pain. But in the hands of an addict prone individual, they will most likely end up depressed and purchase loratab, vicodin, percoset, tylenol with codeine, etc on the streets. Loratab # 10 are sold for $10 a pill. Docs here have a collective list of abusers that go from doc to doc to get BS pain relief. I feel sad for these people. But if I am desperate and a narcotic absolutely works for me, I probably would consider going to the black market. Because of these drug addicts, Docs are wary of writing scripts for us CHers. Pisses me off, Darn drug addicts.
