When I was first diagnosed, the doctor told me Clusters were rare and even more so in women. He said that only about 1% of CH sufferers are women. I got on my soapbox and told him I thought this was taking Women's Lib just a little too far! (Heck, back in the 60s - or was it the 70s? I burned my bra and no one noticed! Have been against WL ever since!)
Maybe we can get a "lecture" crew together from OUCH to go around to medical schools and do some "educating!" on headaches.
Seriously, I think the ratio has been off because of women being diagnosed with migraines (that's the politically correct disease for US) and the myth that only "he-men" get CH. That's why we NEED RESEARCH!
